HB 670 – National Day of Reason

Update 5/5/16 – Happy National Day of Reason!  NDoR post HERE.

The American Humanism Association in partnership with other organizations and national leaders has achieved the introduction of House Bill 670 to formally proclaim May 5th as the National Day of Reason (NDOR).

A Day of Reason not only inspires needed visibility of the secular community, but also promotes equality for all Americans, regardless of faith or non-faith perspective.  All humans, of all faith and non-faith perspectives, can appreciate that the human ability to think and reason forms a foundation for advancement and achievement. The goal of NDOR is “to celebrate reason—a concept all Americans can support—and to raise public awareness about the persistent threat to religious liberty posed by government intrusion into the private sphere of worship.”  Preserve the first amendment by contacting your representative and ask her or him to co-sponsor the National Day of Reason.
